Resident Care Assistant || FT || 2p-10p

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Resident Care Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide personalized care and support to residents in a long-term care facility, ensuring their well-being and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
• Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
• Help residents navigate systems and services within the facility

Experience:

• Previous experience in long-term care or caregiving preferred
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols
• Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
• Familiarity with home and community care services
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards residents
