Direct Support Professional/Caregiver Crossville, TN 38571 $15 an hour - Part-time $15 an hour - Part-time Overview GraceAge Cares is a licensed Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) provider dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), seniors, and those with physical challenges. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care that promotes independence and quality of life. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Caregivers to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. As a Direct Support Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily activities and promoting their independence. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in various settings, including home care, community care, and nursing homes. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support clients with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure their safety and comfort. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being. Document care provided accurately in accordance with company policies. Follow individual service plans (ISPs) and adhere to company and
DDA/DIDD
policies. Document services and progress notes accurately and timely, in accordance with state regulations. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home community care, hospice care, or dementia care is preferred. Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy is essential. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Must be able to pass a fingerprint-based background check through TBI/IdentoGO. Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Pay:
