Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration on MAR (medication administration record) Provide specialized care for individuals with mental health needs, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment through light cleaning duties Assist as needed with transportation needs by driving or escorting clients to appointments or community activities while ensuring safety protocols are followed Implement infection control procedures and maintain proper documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare standards Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of caring for individuals with mental illness/behaviors, developmental disabilities or memory-related conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease Experience in long-term care environments or personal care homes is advantageous Familiarity with medication administration is a plus Valid certification in first aid and CPR is requested; additional certifications such as CNA, medication administration or behavior management are beneficial Proven ability to work effectively in group home settings or retirement communities while maintaining a compassionate approach Valid driver's license and safe driving record preferred for roles involving transportation responsibilities Join us to be part of a compassionate team that values your dedication!
