DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and minimize challenging behaviors
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment
• Support residents in participating in recreational activities and community outings
• Document and report any significant observations or incidents to the appropriate supervisor

Experience:

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and resident rights
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects or assist residents with mobility needs
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

This job may require heavy lifting and physical exertion. It is important for candidates to be able to perform these tasks safely and effectively.
