In this vital role, you will support residents in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Your dedication will empower individuals to live fulfilling lives while fostering a sense of community and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and document residents' health status, vital signs, and behavioral changes with attention to safety and comfort Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure proper patient care Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining cleanliness in common areas Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting safely to assist with mobility or transfers Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures to ensure resident safety Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient care; attentive to changes in behavior or health status Familiarity with assisted living environments, nursing homes, or home & community care settings Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while respecting resident confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Physical stamina for activities involving heavy lifting, long periods of standing or walking, and assisting with mobility Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional where your compassionate care can transform lives!
