Job Description

Job Overview As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support. Your compassionate nature and dedication will help clients maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and group homes, providing essential services that promote well-being and dignity. What you'll do Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions to ensure proper care. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual needs effectively. Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization in client living spaces to promote a safe environment. Engage clients in social activities that encourage interaction and cognitive stimulation. Basic qualifications Experience in patient care or caregiving roles is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques to respond effectively in emergencies. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or specific conditions such as Alzheimer's or autism is a plus.
REQUIRED
qualifications Previous experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is advantageous. Ability to handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Strong observational skills to monitor client behavior and report any concerns promptly.
