Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home health environments, and community-based programs. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while maintaining a warm and respectful approach. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. All positions are paid, reflecting the importance of this essential work. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of all patient care activities Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and participate in team meetings for ongoing patient support Skills Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or health deterioration Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and medication administration are highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Familiarity with dementia care, memory care strategies, hospice care principles, and long-term care practices Experience working with seniors in nursing homes or residential facilities is a plus Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
