This vital role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, managing medical routines, and ensuring their safety and comfort. As a Home Healthcare Attendant, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for those receiving care, fostering independence, and promoting well-being within the comfort of their homes. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and observe patients' conditions, including vital signs, medication adherence, and overall health status. Administer medications following prescribed instructions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Support clients with feeding, laundry, light cleaning, and home organization to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams by communicating patient progress or concerns effectively. Requirements Proven experience in home health care or long-term care environments, including nursing home experience or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as medication administration training are preferred but not required. Ability to operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with clients and coordinate effectively with healthcare professionals.
