Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview I am seeking a stern, yet compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to help our family with my brother's care. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to my brother who is 60 years old and suffers from mental illness. Duties Transport to and from morning activity. Assist him in getting clothes straight. Monitor his vital signs, and observe for any changes in health status. Administer medication following HIPAA guidelines to ensure safety and confidentiality. Shop for daily groceries and meals tailored to individual dietary needs and place them in the kitchen.

Clean Environment:

sweeping, mopping, bathroom, kitchen, and changing linens as needed. Take and pick up clothes from the laundromat's wash-and-fold service. Document care plans, patient observations, and progress notes accurately to support ongoing care strategies. Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and the ability to monitor vital signs effectively Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is advantageous Strong communication skills for collaborating with family Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide exceptional patient-centered care References from previous work experiences should be included on the resume.
