ISS Program Site Position Summary Spectrum of Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work exclusively in our Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) program. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during structured daytime activities focused on skill-building, social engagement, and independence. This is a part-time position Essential Job Functions The
DSP - ISS
provides direct care and supervision in accordance with each individual's Person-Directed Plan (PDP), Individual Plan of Care (IPC), and applicable ICF/HCS standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Support individuals in developing daily living, social, communication, and adaptive skills through structured ISS activities. Facilitate group and individual activities that promote independence, engagement, and community integration. Provide supervision and hands-on assistance as needed while encouraging choice and independence. Monitor participant health, comfort, and safety throughout the program day and report concerns appropriately. Assist with personal care needs as outlined in individual plans, including hygiene and toileting support, while maintaining dignity and privacy. Implement positive behavioral supports and interventions in accordance with approved behavior support plans. Assist with and document medication administration when assigned and trained. Accurately complete required documentation, including daily notes, progress tracking, and incident reports. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding participant progress and needs. Assist with community outings and program activities as scheduled. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policy. Perform other related duties as assigned to support ISS operations.
Schedule & Work Environment Part-time:
