Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DSP III Respite Team Lead will provide supervision experiencing in a mental health crisis. The DSP III Respite Team Lead will apply crisis intervention principles as appropriate throughout their shifts and are responsible to prepare the necessary documentation. The DSP III Respite Team Lead is required to attend meetings and training programs relevant to the position. The DSP III Respite Team Lead will be on call several days out of the month. The DSP III Respite Team Lead will work closely with AMH Respite supervisor. The DSP III Respite Team Lead will monitor other full and part time staff are completing job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited High School or G.E.D. Prefer some college background in Psychology, Social work, or Sociology. Certification in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) will be required provided by MHMR. Other training and/or certification deemed necessary by MHMRCV. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the mental health field is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Valid Texas driver's license. Must be insurable on the Center's insurance. No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Good interpersonal skills, maturity, and organizational skills. Ability to process and record detailed documentation. Ability to present communicate effectively between levels of staff and consumers.
SHIFT:
8AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Rotating on-call schedule.
