Job Description

$1,000 Sign On Bonus! (excludes PRN Staff; Attendance and Performance considered) South Texas Community Living is now hiring a Caregiver to provide personal care of individuals with developmental disabilities during transportation to and from medical appointments. South Texas Community Living is a provider of Home and Community Based Services (HCS) serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate would have Caregiving, Direct Support and/ or Direct Care, C.N.A. or Home Health experience. To support our population of individuals one must be fun, clean, mature, dependable, organized, respectful, and patient in challenging situations. On-the-job training is provided!
Shift:
Monday -
Friday Hours :
8:00AM - 5:00PM Caregiver / Appointment Runner Duties include: Driving company vehicles Transport consumers to medical and other appointments as instructed. General supervision and monitoring of individuals served during medical appointments. Facilitating communication between office nursing personnel and outside medical professionals. Maintaining receipts for purchases. Provide direct care support while transporting and/or supervise consumers. Keeping forms in work area filled/well supplied as well as accurate. Ensure that all paperwork is filed correctly in a timely manner. Schedule medical appointments. Pick-up medications from pharmacy. Ordering medications in a timely manner. Complete and/or follow-up on the completion of documentation from medical appointments and/or when working direct care shifts. Deliver medications as needed to group homes and/or other Company locations. May assist with picking up individuals from home/DH and drop off to specified locations.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist regional office with clerical functions during free time (e.g., days without scheduled medical appointments). Represent the company in a professional manner in dealing with consumers, family members, guardians, other agencies, and other outside professionals. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
