Job Description

Job Overview Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, a home health aide gives direct "Hands-On" care to client by performing unskilled nursing tasks on a part-time basis Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication schedules. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring nutritional requirements are met. Assists in providing for emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort safety of the patient Conduct patient observation to monitor changes in health status and report concerns to healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical documentation related to client care and progress. Support clients with mobility assistance, including transfers and ambulation. Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Skills Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology. Experience in senior care Strong ability to observe patients effectively and communicate changes or concerns promptly. Familiarity with medical documentation systems to maintain accurate records of care provided. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when interacting with clients. Ability to work independently while adhering to established care plans and protocols.
