Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to an individual in their home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while assisting with daily living activities. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client condition Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care Requirements Experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care Be able to pass a background check and provide a TB test.
