Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, ensuring safety, comfort, and engagement for those in your care. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor health status by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and maintain cleanliness in living spaces to promote a safe environment Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting safely to support mobility needs Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to care plans Skills Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, First Aid, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care practices Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient safety assessments Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs measurement Excellent cleaning skills to ensure hygienic living conditions and infection control compliance Compassionate communication skills tailored to working with seniors, hospice patients, or those with complex health needs Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and assisting with mobility using Hoyer lifts or other equipment Join us as a Direct Support Professional and become an essential part of a team committed to enhancing lives through dedicated caregiving.
