In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging community-based activities for clients with disabilities. If you have a passion for working with people and creating fun and meaningful experiences, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a diverse calendar of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our clients.
This may include:
Attending sporting events, concerts, and festivals Visiting museums, art galleries, and zoos Exploring parks, nature trails, and recreational areas Participating in fitness classes, adaptive sports, and other wellness activities Enjoying social events, dining out, and trying new experiences Provide transportation and support to clients during community outings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Build positive relationships with clients, fostering their independence and encouraging their active participation in activities. Collaborate with support staff, families, and community partners to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible to all. Maintain accurate records of activities, client participation, and any incidents or concerns. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Stay up-to-date on accessibility resources and inclusive practices in the community. Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record and personal vehicle (required) First Aid/CPR certification required Passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Must pass a background
