Position Summary:
Our busy Urology department is recruiting a part time Patient Care Assistant in our Provo office. Successful candidate will maintain a professional image, be dependable and a quick learner.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all patients and contribute to a positive team-based work environment.
  • Facilitate good patient care under the supervision of providers, assist with such tasks as patient education, rooming patients, examination preparation, taking vitals, recording patient medical histories, injections, ordering labs and procedures.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments and respond to patient questions.
  • Prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment/supplies and keep exam rooms clean.
  • Obtain insurance prior authorizations for procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Previous medical experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Hours:
Monday 8:00A-5:00P Thursday 8:00-5:00P Friday 8:00A-1:00
P Additional Notes:
This is not a summer job. Successful candidate will be able to commit to the outlined schedule throughout the year.
