Job Description

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Outside Services (Day Program) If you want to have fun, make a difference and go on enjoyable activities then this is the job for you! Here at My Heroes LLC , we are looking for extroverted individuals to join our Direct Support Team. We believe in helping our individuals achieve independence and live an elevated quality life. Your main focus will be providing support and community access to individuals with disabilities. (Intellectual disabilities and Related Conditions).
Shift:
8:30- 3:30 PM
PART TIME 5
Days per week Monday-Friday(Some shifts are 9am-3:00pm-5:00PM)
DSP Responsibilities:
Participate in and plan activities Conflict Resolution Physical Activity Support individuals in purchases and navigating a budget Positive Relationship Building Coach, mentor, and help others improve their skills and abilities Provide Safe community access Understand the developmental needs of others What you need to qualify Experience working with individuals with Autism and intellectual disabilities. Patience and Positive personality Strong Communication Skills Be 18 years or older Pass a criminal background check Pass a pre-employment drug screen Have a valid Utah DL/ID Must have your own vehicle Must have valid insurance Own Vehicle to transport individuals (gas paid for) Any vehicles used during transportation will need to obtain the minimum vehicle insurance requirements of automobile liability insurance required of individual residential care homes shall cover property damage, personal injury protection, and liability with a combined single limit or the equivalent of not less than $100,000 per person and $300,000 for each accident/occurrence occurring during the course of their duties. There will be a quarterly review of these requirements. Employee or Contractor needs to have a clean driving record and also have a valid driver's license on him or her at all times there will be a quarterly review on these requirements.
Starting Pay:
$18.00 per hour
Work Location:
Operate out of Davis county and Weber County but run program in other county's for activities.
