In this vital role, you will provide personalized support within the community, fostering independence, social engagement, and overall well-being. Duties Support participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events to enhance social skills and community integration Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment Collect data on progress, behaviors, and goals to track development and inform care plans Drive clients safely to appointments or community activities using provided transportation means while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred Background in special education or behavioral health enhances your ability to support diverse needs effectively Home and community care experience demonstrates your capability to provide compassionate support outside of institutional settings Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and implementing behavior management techniques is advantageous Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members, families, and community partners Valid driver's license and safe driving record are required for transportation responsibilities Experience in data collection, medication administration, or social work can strengthen your ability to deliver comprehensive support Join us as a Community-Based Direct Support Professional—where your energy fuels positive change!
