Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
• Implement individualized behavior support plans and strategies
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for individuals
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, therapists, and medical professionals

Skills:

• First aid and CPR certification preferred
• Experience in childcare or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with resident rights and systems for supporting individuals This position requires compassion, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
