In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting individuals in their own home or in the community, your efforts will foster a nurturing environment where they feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while positively impacting the community. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client, ensuring their preferences and goals are met. Monitor and document individuals' progress, behaviors, and any changes in their condition. Engage clients in social activities and community involvement to promote socialization and interaction. Participate in water-related activities when necessary, ensuring client safety. Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel Skills Previous experience in working with individuals with disabilities or special or behavioral needs. Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices. Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to safety protocols. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written for working collaboratively with clients, families, and documentation requirements First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification). A compassionate approach toward working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring specialized support. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy at all times A valid driver's license is required.
