Job Description

TriSource Staffing Solutions are assisted a client who is dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence, meaningful community connections, and an improved quality of life in Charlottesville, VA. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you'll play an essential role in providing skill-building support, personal care, and community engagement opportunities to the individuals we serve.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30AM-3/3:30PM As a DSP in our Day Support Program, you will: Participate in developing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with the team. Provide direct support in skill-building, personal care, communication, recreation, and community living. Support individuals in engaging with their community—building relationships, accessing resources, volunteering, and developing job skills. Assist with personal care needs (toileting, bathing, grooming, medications, etc.) while maintaining dignity and respect. Maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, medication administration, behavior management, and crisis intervention. Participate in team meetings, training, and curriculum development to continuously improve services. Ensure the health, safety, and rights of all program participants, using positive behavior supports and de-escalation strategies as needed. Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork while serving as a role model in community and program settings. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required for transporting clients. Ability to lift and assist clients safely using appropriate equipment and training. Must obtain/maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, medication administration, and crisis intervention (training provided). Clean background check
Pay Rate:
$17.50/HR
