Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Home Health Aide and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care at home. In this vital role, you will provides hands-on assistance and daily support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) in a supervised residential setting. Working under the supervision of the Manager, Home Aides help residents with personal care, household tasks, and community participation. Their goal is to enhance residents' quality of life, promote independence, and support a safe, clean, and respectful living environment. Your dedication will empower individuals to maintain independence and improve their quality of life within the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities 1. Daily Living Assistance
  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene routines.
  • Help residents with eating, mobility, and safe ambulation.
  • Encourage and support residents in performing tasks independently when possible. 2. Household Management
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, sweeping, and sanitizing resident living areas.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up while considering dietary needs.
  • Help residents maintain tidy and organized personal spaces. 3. Resident Support & Interaction
  • Build positive relationships with residents through daily interactions, respect, and encouragement.
  • Assist in planning and participating in recreational, social, and educational activities.
  • Promote self-advocacy, decision-making, and confidence through supportive coaching. 4. Health & Safety Monitoring
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or behavioral conditions to the Nurse Manager.
  • Follow emergency procedures in case of incidents or urgent health concerns.
  • Assist with infection control practices and ensure the home environment is safe and clean. 5. Communication & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily care, activities, and observations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights regarding resident care needs.
  • Respect resident privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a caregiving, residential, or direct support role (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Must pass a criminal background check, a Registry Search check and TB screening.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
