Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Home Health Aide (HHA) providing in-home care to individuals in need of support with daily activities and health management. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering personalized, respectful, and professional care. As an HHA, you will work closely with clients and their families to promote independence, safety, and well-being within the comfort of their homes. Your dedication will help enhance quality of life for those facing health challenges, disabilities, or age-related needs. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' conditions, including vital signs and overall health status Support medication management and administration following prescribed protocols Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to ensure a safe and comfortable environment Document patient care activities accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral management Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and catheter care when necessary Support hospice or palliative care needs with compassion and professionalism when applicable Requirements Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures such as taking vital signs or administering medications Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications like hospice care or dementia training are a plus Ability to work independently with strong patient observation skills and attention to detail Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for travel between client homes Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and families Service Areas We are specifically hiring caregivers in: Caroline County, Culpeper County, Fauquier County, Fredericksburg, Hanover County, King George County, Louisa County, Orange County, Prince William County, Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, and Westmoreland County.
