Job Summary Pay is $15/hour
Shift Available:
Overnights, 7 days on and 7 days off Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those experiencing memory care challenges like dementia or Alzheimer's, your efforts will foster a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and empowered. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required Support clients during outings or appointments by driving or accompanying them in community settings Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures including first aid certification Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges, including behavioral management techniques Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities Ability to safely transfer clients using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility needs Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and families Valid driver's license and safe driving record for community outings and appointments This role is ideal for compassionate professionals eager to grow their caregiving expertise while providing exceptional support.
