In this vital role, you will foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment while assisting residents with daily activities and promoting their independence. Your dedication will help enhance quality of life for those in your care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalized support every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in caregiving and health support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and cooking to meet dietary needs of residents Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning duties in resident rooms, common areas, and medical equipment Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs tailored to individual interests and abilities Document resident progress, update care plans, and participate in team meetings to coordinate personalized care strategies Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), hospice care, or autism support is advantageous Hands-on experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification, and HIPAA compliance is essential Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to provide empathetic support Experience performing heavy lifting or physical assistance tasks safely is required for resident mobility support Previous roles involving home health or long-term care contribute valuable insights into comprehensive patient monitoring and caregiving practices Join us as a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals through compassionate care while building a rewarding career dedicated to making a positive impact every day!
