The Laurels Care Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate team. If you have a heart for care and the skills to lead, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal support.
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, ensuring best practices in care delivery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing team.
- Assist in training new staff and promoting a positive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to care home policies and procedures.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3).
- Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential care setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A compassionate and patient approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
