Job Description
PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT
(PCA) Family Home Health Care is currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide support services for a male individual with developmental disabilities. This position requires a caring professional who can provide hands-on assistance, supervision, and support with daily living activities while promoting safety, independence, and community participation. Responsibilities- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and feeding support.
- Provide supervision and monitoring to ensure the individual's safety at home and in the community.
- Assist with medication reminders and support with daily routines.
- Support participation in community activities and recreational outings.
- Assist with meal preparation and nutritional support.
- Provide companionship and positive behavioral support.
- Monitor for safety concerns and respond appropriately to changing needs.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to the individual's care.
- Maintain professional communication with family members and agency staff. ### Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Previous PCA, caregiver, DSP, CNA, or home care experience preferred.
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate.
- Ability to follow care plans and maintain a safe environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
