Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, and other long-term care requirements. In this vital role, you will foster independence, promote well-being, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Administer medications following prescribed care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning, cooking, and cleanup to promote healthy living Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control standards Support residents during community outings or activities to foster social engagement and independence Document care activities accurately in resident records and update individualized care plans regularly Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, or nursing assistant credentials are advantageous Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism or in hospice care is desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient handling and mobility assistance Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving Valid background check clearance and willingness to adhere to all safety protocols Join us in making a difference by providing dedicated support that empowers individuals to live their best lives. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
