In this energetic role, you will provide vital assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home, your dedication will help clients achieve a higher quality of life through attentive, respectful care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Document care activities, patient observations, and any incidents clearly and thoroughly in compliance with policies Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance are required; additional certifications like medication administration or heavy lifting are advantageous Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and family members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and assist with resident transfers using appropriate equipment Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized care Join us in creating a caring environment where every individual receives the support they deserve.
