Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant in Scottsville , where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide respectful, personalized assistance that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with residents and clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, and home care environments, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Duties Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans under supervision or as trained Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Document patient observations, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care experience are a plus Experience operating patient monitoring devices and performing vital signs assessments is desirable Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining compassion and professionalism Familiarity with care plans, medication administration protocols, and long-term care procedures enhances your suitability for this role Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional personal care that enriches lives.
