This full-time, paid role offers an enriching opportunity to provide personalized support in a home environment, fostering independence, safety, and well-being. As a vital member of our team, you will create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes growth, community engagement, and quality of life for those we serve. Duties Provide direct support to individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other disabilities, assisting with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation Manage household routines including medication administration, transportation, and community outings to promote independence and social integration Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques and behavioral health best practices Collect and document data related to progress, behaviors, and health status to inform care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Facilitate communication using methods such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication tools when applicable Support families by providing updates on well-being and collaborating on care strategies Maintain a safe, clean, and organized home environment that encourages comfort and independence for residents Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders in home or community settings Strong understanding of special education principles and behavior management techniques Proficiency in American Sign Language preferred to enhance communication with non-verbal or minimally verbal individuals Knowledge of behavioral health practices and medication administration protocols Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving tailored to each person's needs Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, families, and service providers Valid driver's license with clean driving record for transportation duties; experience driving adapted vehicles is a plus Capable of handling data collection accurately while maintaining confidentiality Childcare experience is advantageous when supporting young individuals or family members involved in the care process This role is ideal for motivated caregivers who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to empowering individuals through dedicated support.
