Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support medication administration and help implement personalized care plans designed by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to ensure proper nutrition Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist residents with movement and transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices Provide emotional support and companionship to foster social engagement and mental well-being Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills including CPR and first aid certification Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care needs Ability to assist with complex mobility tasks such as heavy lifting and operating Hoyer lifts safely Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers Demonstrated compassion, patience, and adaptability in caregiving roles across diverse populations Join us in providing exceptional care that enhances quality of life.
