The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a nurturing attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members. Duties As a Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implementing care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences. Supporting clients with mobility assistance, including lifting and transferring as necessary. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being. Monitoring clients' health status and reporting any changes to the nursing staff or family members. Assisting with medication reminders and ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens. Engaging clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients at home or in long-term care facilities. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Background in nursing homes or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Experience in home care or hospice care is a plus. A background in social work can be beneficial for understanding client needs effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
