Williamsburg•Monday and Tuesday 11am to 11pm and every other weekend 11am to 11pm.

PRN Position Description:
Direct Support Professional The person selected to fill this position will be expected to perform the following duties in a competent fashion. 1. Work a minimum of 75% of their scheduled hours in the home, providing direct individual services to the individual. 2. Provide direct supervision, training, and treatment to all individuals and be familiar with their plans and objectives in place for how to do so. 3. Attend all required meetings, including, but not limited to, house meetings, company-wide meetings, and individuals ISP or review meetings. 4. Accompanies Individuals, as needed on medical or other appointments required to maintain benefits or health. 5. Assists individuals with obtaining spending money or other personal funds in a timely, efficient manner in accordance with their Human Rights. 6. Ensures individuals are well groomed and notifies House Managers of any items or clothing the individuals may need to ensure this occurs. 7. Appropriately completes all required paperwork each shift. 8. Shows up on time, appropriately dressed, and in condition to work all scheduled shifts, in accordance with company policy. 9. Report directly to the House Supervisor for supervisory purposes.
Position Responsibilities:
The person selected to fill this position will be expected to assume the following responsibilities in a competent way. 1. Assume responsibility for assisting with appropriate investigation of all individual allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or discrimination. 2. Assume responsibility for assisting with appropriate training and treatment of all individuals in accordance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. 3. Assume responsibility for adhering to schedules shifts and completing all necessary work per shift. 4. Assume responsibility for reviewing, becoming familiar with and following all individual treatment plans, including but not limited to, ISPs, goals, diets, and behavior plans. ACS job description
DSP Education/Experience:
This position requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent. At least (2) years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities is desired. Individual must also have proof of, or complete satisfactorily upon hire, all DBHDS, HCBS and Medicaid Waiver required training. Knowledge, skills and
Abilities:
The person selected to fill this position must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: 1. Functional oral written communication skills. 2. Solid knowledge of DBHDS and Medicaid Waiver guidelines, particularly in Human Rights and HCBS rights. 3. Knowledge of Direct Service requirements and allowable activities. 4. Must have a valid driver's license and the abilities to transport clients as needed. 5. An understanding of the training and treatment of persons with Developmental Disabilities and/or Mental Illness. 6. Ability to partner with individuals to determine activities they are interested in and support community integration for individuals served, optimizing their personal, social, and vocational competency to live successfully in the community. 7. Ability to lift and support individuals in all daily living activities and care. 8. Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks. 9. Ability to work effectively in a team. 10. Ability to present self professionally. 11. Ability to self-direct work. 12. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 13. Ability to contribute and function within a participative Management structure. 14. Knowledge of the field of developmental disabilities and Mental Illness. 15. Skill in use of behavioral support and practices. 16. Skill to complete satisfactory, medication certification, First Aid/CPR and other requirements in orientation. 17. Skill in decision making judgement and action in emergency or crisis situations. 18. Skill in maintaining confidential information. 19. Skill in locating and accessing community resources for all individuals. This is not a definite, nor total list of the job duties, other tasks may be assigned by your supervisor as needed.
