Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and proper infection control procedures. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges. Document care activities meticulously and update care plans regularly to reflect evolving needs. Skills Proven experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care environments with a focus on patient observation and monitoring. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, patient care standards, and medication administration protocols. Strong skills in assisting with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and supporting residents' social well-being. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfers.
