We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, helping them achieve their personal goals and ensuring their well-being we are dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities IDD in their own homes, enabling them to lead enriched, fulfilled lives. What You'll Do:
Empower and Support:
Assist our clients with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration, ensuring they lead dignified lives.
Engage and Participate:
Take part in creating educational and recreational activities that promote our clients' physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and conflict resolution Create a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals in need of childcare or assistance Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, progress, and any incidents that occur
Advocate and Encourage:
Be the voice of our clients, advocating for their needs and encouraging them to achieve their personal goals.
Collaborate and Communicate:
Work closely with healthcare professionals and families to provide holistic support tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and care to individuals with autism, ensuring their safety and well-being Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration Understand and implement client-specific Individual Instructional Support Plans (IISP) and actively work toward achieving and documenting client goals. Provide necessary services as outlined in the IISP, including operating equipment such as the Hoyer Lift as needed. Ensure accurate and thorough completion of logbooks and client activity documentation, including daily data collection. Monitor and document medication administration in accordance with company policies and procedures. Respond immediately to emergencies, following established protocols. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, coworkers, and office staff. Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team, maintaining professional relationships. Utilize electronic documentation systems for client records. Therap Transport clients to appointments using a personal vehicle as needed. 12 hr Night Shift Saturday, Sunday & Thursday (7pm - 7am )
