Job Description
We're looking for a kind, dependable, and engaging companion/family assistant to support our 37-year-old son, who has special needs. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys companionship-based support, along with light household help as needed. Schedule Part time Primarily late afternoons/evenings and weekends Flexible scheduling Monday-Saturday Occasional overnight/weekend support (1-2 times per year) Possible week-long support once per year while family travels Flexibility on specific days/times for the right person About Him He's friendly, easygoing, and enjoys: Music and movies Watching sports Art museums Walks and getting out in the community What We're Looking For Good energy Friendly, reliable, and socially intuitive Some college or vocational background is a plus Experience with family assistance and/or companionship to a disabled adult is a plus Shared interests (music, sports, films, art, walking/outings) strongly preferred Responsibilities Companionship and community outings Transportation to activities Preparing simple meals occasionally Providing light structure and supervision Light family assistant tasks when client support is not needed, such as: Answering the door Putting away laundry General light household support Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Background check required Responsible, proactive, and communicative Comfortable with pets, small dog in the household Pay Competitive hourly rate ($35/hour) We're really hoping to find someone with a great personality who enjoys building genuine connections and is helpful around the home.
