Job Description

Lead Direct Support Professional (Lead DSP) Lead with Purpose. Make a Difference Every Day. At Excel Supported Living, we empower adults with developmental disabilities to live independent, fulfilling lives. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Lead Direct Support Professional (Lead DSP) to provide direct support to clients while serving as a mentor and resource for staff within the home. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys helping others succeed, building positive team relationships, and ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centered support.
What You'll Do:
Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities Lead by example and provide guidance, coaching, and training to DSP staff Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and communication within the home Support client goals, independence, health, safety, and community involvement Coordinate appointments, transportation, activities, meal planning, and household needs Monitor documentation, medication records, and service compliance Conduct house meetings and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator regarding client and staff needs
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Leadership experience or a desire to mentor and support others Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Reliable attendance and ability to work independently Valid driver's license and ability to become an approved driver Why Join Excel Supported Living? Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
