Job Description

90% FTE, day/evening shifts between 6:30am•7:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Be part of something remarkable Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN)•Care Team Leader (CTL) / Charge Nurse to join our
REMARKABLE
team. Motivate and lead nursing staff while working in collaboration with the interprofessional team. Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. Facilitate and participate in daily interprofessional rounds. Motivate and lead nursing staff to ensure optimum patient care, efficient operations, quality service and sound financial management. Education :
Preferred•Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Work Experience :
Minimum•Two (2) years' experience in an inpatient unit. At least two (2) years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years' experience in an inpatient unit. Preferred•Three (3) years' experience in an acute care inpatient unit. Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum•Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact. Current CPR/BLS Certification. ACLS Certification required 6 months after hire. Preferred•National certification in relevant specialty.
