Direct Support Professional AFH Caring Hands Madison, WI Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $16 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Assisted living Caregiving Senior care Home care Care plans Full Job Description Our Direct Support Professionals are vital to the success of our program. They focus on one person at a time and builds a strong relationship with each individual they support. Our job is to support people living with developmental disabilities, including autism, brain damage, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome, in order to help them learn life skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to persons with disabilities. Prepare a daily log of activities and events so others can follow the care plan. Communicate with the individual, their family members, and other health care professionals. Use proper safety precautions when moving client. Recognize when an activity is beyond the person's abilities and needs additional training. Communicate changes in client's condition to supervisor and other staff. Maintain confidentiality of information about the person's health and behavior. Provide emotional support to the person, as well as their family members, friends, and coworkers.
