Job Description

Pharmacy Technician Location:
Sitka, Alaska Salary Range:
$62,000 to $80,000 annually
Position Type:
Permanent Full Time Schedule:
Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM; rotating weekends
Experience:
Minimum 1 year required About the Role We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time opportunity in Sitka, Alaska. This role provides technical pharmacy support under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and assists with medication preparation, inventory, customer service, prescription processing, sterile compounding support, and pharmacy operations. Responsibilities Support pharmacists with prescription processing, medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing Retrieve, count, stock, and organize medications using pharmacy systems and automated equipment Assist with IV room cleaning, hood logs, Pyxis restocking, inventory, and controlled substance paperwork Provide customer support at the pharmacy window and handle refill requests professionally Maintain accurate documentation, monitor supplies, and support pharmacy quality assurance activities Requirements active alaska pharmacy technician license required at hire PTCB pharmacy technician national certification required within one year of hire
CLINICAL
COMPETENCY and
HIGH RISK COMPETENCY
