Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented pediatric Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Your expertise will contribute to accurate patient results and support clinical decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, efficiency, and patient care are paramount. Duties Conduct laboratory procedures using established protocols and techniques to analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples. Collect, process, and prepare specimens for testing, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation. Perform venipuncture (blood sampling) and other specimen collection methods with skill and care to ensure patient comfort and sample integrity. Maintain accurate records of test results, quality control data, and equipment maintenance logs. Assist with patient care activities by monitoring vital signs when necessary and providing compassionate support during specimen collection. Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample handling and testing procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of test results and uphold high standards of patient service. Qualifications Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, and clinical laboratory settings. Attendance is vital. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory science principles. Hands-on experience with phlebotomy (venipuncture), blood sampling, and specimen processing. Familiarity with healthcare environment operations is preferred. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, aseptic techniques, and quality assurance standards. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
