Chemistry Laboratory Assistant - 2nd Shift at UL, LLC in Lowell, Arkansas, United States Job Description Our Lowell, AR testing laboratory is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Chemistry department! An ideal candidate will be ready to help our customers and us work toward our goal of making the world a safer, more secure, and sustainable place to live, work, and play. This role has a schedule of 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday, at our Lowell, AR location. + Clean, rinse, and prepare laboratory glassware according to standard procedures. + Properly label glassware, containers, and samples in accordance with laboratory requirements. + Safely empty chemical residues from glassware into designated waste containers following waste-handling guidelines. + Organize, file, and store samples in the retention area to maintain accurate records and accessibility. + Assist with basic laboratory testing or sample preparation tasks as assigned. + Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas, sinks, and storage locations. + Follow laboratory safety policies, chemical handling procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. + Notify laboratory staff or supervisors of safety concerns, equipment issues, or procedural deviations. + Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job. + Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. + Performs other duties as directed. #LI-BW1 #LI-Onsite + Higher Secondary Education. + Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers. + Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
