Lab Testing Technician 1 Sediver Way, West Memphis, AR 72301 $25 an hour
  • Full-time $25 an hour

Position Summary This position is responsible for ensuring that products are made according to minimum requirements and tests the product according to industry and/or customer requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Testing & Execution
  • Set up, operate, and monitor electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
  • Perform routine and specialized tests in accordance with defined procedures and industry standards.
  • Ensure all testing is conducted safely and consistently following established protocols.
  • Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections and finished product testing
  • Ensures all equipment is calibrated. 2. Data Collection & Technical Reporting
  • Accurately record test data, observations, and results during all testing activities.
  • Analyze test results and compile clear, structured technical reports.
  • Communicate test outcomes to engineering, quality, and management teams.
  • Crates FAT, Type Test, and Design test reports and all incoming inspection reports. 3. Equipment & Test Setup
  • Prepare test samples, fixtures, and configurations required for testing.
  • Verify proper calibration and functionality of lab equipment prior to use.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment or setup issues during testing. 4. Technical Support & Collaboration
  • Support engineers and senior technicians in executing advanced or customer-specific testing.
  • Assist in customer witness testing and provide clear explanations of test procedures.
  • Coordinate with quality and production teams to support investigations and validations. 5. Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain organized records of all tests, procedures, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support development and updates of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Keeps supplier reports with incoming inspection reports. 6. Laboratory Maintenance & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, especially when working with high-voltage or energized equipment.
  • Identify and report any safety or equipment concerns. Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities):
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical degree or certification in electrical or mechanical field required
Professional Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory or technical testing environment preferred Technical & Professional Skills Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment Familiarity with quality systems and documentation Familiarity with 5S, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and digital documentation systems. Communication & Collaboration Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with operators, technicians, engineers, and leadership. Strong coordination with cross-functional teams and customer interactions. Comfortable facilitating training sessions and working on the shop floor or in lab environments. Personal Attributes Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and standardization. Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and employee development. Results-oriented mindset with continuous improvement focus.
