Job Description
About the
Role:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and hands‑on Lab Technician to support our laboratory. This role plays an important part in both our existing operations and our development of new business through lab‑scale experimentation and operational QA/QC work. The ideal candidate is experienced with metallurgical, analytical, and sample preparation equipment, and is motivated by accurate testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:
- Following health and safety standards.
- Ability to read SDS data
- Maintaining a clean work area
- Follow Standard operating procedures
- Packaging samples for customers and outside laboratories
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.
- Working safely
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
- Perform lab‑scale metallurgical experiments to support R&D efforts and new business initiatives.
- Conduct QA/QC testing on samples from current production processes.
- Prepare samples using metallurgical and analytical preparation techniques.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Accurately document procedures, observations, and results in accordance with internal quality standards.
- Support lab housekeeping, equipment calibration, and safety compliance.
