We take pride in utilizing advanced digital workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in dental restorations, reducing chair time and ensuring high quality outcomes for patients. Position Summary The Milling Dental Technician is responsible for operating and coordinating milling department tasks during an assigned shift within the daily production workflow and subtractive manufacturing operations in a dental laboratory. This ensures the efficient and accurate production of dental prosthetics using milling technology and maintains high quality standards in all aspects of production. The milling technician will also coordinate with other departments and technicians to ensure seamless workflow and timely product delivery. Key Responsibilities Milling and Nesting Responsible for milling and nesting of daily cases, crown and bridge, bars, and hybrids Attend training from team leads and managers and provide support to fellow team members. Ensure that performance and products are evaluated and adapted when needed with feedback from leadership. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Production Oversight:
Oversee the daily afternoon and evening operations of the milling department. Ensure efficient use of milling machines and equipment. Monitor production schedules and workflow to meet deadlines. Implement and maintain quality control procedures within the shift.
Technical Expertise:
Operate and troubleshoot milling machines. Ensure accurate and precise milling of dental prosthetics (crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, etc.). Stay updated with the latest milling technology and industry trends.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards for the next shift. Address and rectify any issues or defects in milled products. Maintain records of production and quality control metrics.
Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with other departments, leadership, and team members (e.g., design, fabrication, quality control) to ensure seamless operations. Communicate effectively with the Milling Manager and team lead. Collaborate with fellow technicians in the department to ensure effective communication.
Inventory and Maintenance:
Familiarize all inventory of materials and milling supply procedures Familiarize with all maintenance and calibration of milling machines. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
