Job Description

Position Summary Precision Epigenomics Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technician to support the development and clinical deployment of advanced epigenetic cancer diagnostics, including the EPISEEK platform. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing and specimen processing in a fast-paced molecular diagnostics environment while maintaining strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, and quality management standards. This position is ideal for an individual with experience in molecular biology and clinical laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities Perform specimen accessioning, processing, storage, and tracking of clinical samples including blood, plasma, and pleural fluid specimens. Conduct molecular and epigenetic laboratory assays including specimen processing, DNA extraction, bisulfite conversion, PCR, qPCR, and related workflows. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Accurately document laboratory procedures, test results, deviations, and quality control data. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal quality assurance procedures. Assist with assay validation, verification, and clinical study activities. Support laboratory inventory management, reagent preparation, and supply tracking. Collaborate with scientists, laboratory leadership, and regulatory personnel to support assay development and commercialization efforts. Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. Clinical laboratory experience preferred, particularly in molecular diagnostics or oncology testing. Familiarity with PCR, q
PCR, NGS
workflows, and nucleic acid extraction techniques. Knowledge of
CLIA/CAP
laboratory standards and quality systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rapidly evolving environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications ASCP certification (MLT, MLS, or MB) preferred. Experience working in a startup, translational research, or biotechnology environment. Familiarity with liquid biopsy or epigenomic testing platforms is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive laboratory tasks. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work safely with biological specimens and laboratory chemicals using appropriate PPE. What We Offer Flexible part-time schedule.
