$18/hour (Part-Time) About the Role We are an early-stage, fast-moving startup focused on developing innovative technologies for resource recovery and sustainable materials. We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Part-Time Metallurgical Laboratory Technician to support ongoing research, prototyping, and testwork programs. This is an excellent opportunity for students or early-career individuals interested in metallurgy, chemical engineering, mining, or applied laboratory research to gain practical experience in a dynamic R&D environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of laboratory test protocols Perform metallurgical and chemical experiments under supervision Support sample preparation, handling, and processing Accurately record experimental data and maintain detailed logs Input and organize data using Excel and internal tracking tools Assist with setup, operation, and cleanup of laboratory equipment Support ongoing prototype and pilot-scale testing activities Follow and maintain laboratory safety and operational guidelines Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in a STEM field, with basic laboratory knowledge and hands-on familiarity with standard lab practices Strong interest in applied laboratory work and research Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, simple analysis) Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred (Not Required) Prior laboratory or research experience Familiarity with metallurgical testwork (leaching, flotation, etc.) Experience with data logging and experimental reporting What We Offer Hands-on experience in cutting-edge metallurgical R&D Exposure to real-world pilot and process development Opportunity to contribute to impactful, sustainability-focused technologies Flexible part-time schedule compatible with student commitments If you're curious, hands-on, and want to be part of building something new in the mining and materials space, we'd love to hear from you.Pay:
