  • 70,000 The Laboratory Technician responsible for global membrane support conducts tests on Avista products to verify their safety and efficacy in membrane applications. This role also identifies product capabilities and potential limitations, prioritizing testing activities in collaboration with the Global Product Manager. Responsibilities
  • Collect, process, label, and organize membrane samples for analysis
  • Perform routine and complex scientific experiments
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and clean laboratory equipment (e.g. compatibility cell testers, pH meters, balances) to ensure accuracy
  • Record test results, maintain databases, and document findings in accordance with protocols
  • Schedule and communicate with 3rd party inspector and statistician following the guidelines in the standard operating procedures
  • Order necessary consumables (chemicals) needed for testing
  • Meet with membrane manufacturers and present statistical results, compatibility letter documents and final reports
  • Plan upcoming testing needs with product manager
  • Keep inventory of all products used for testing
  • Perform chemical immersion testing on materials of construction (plastics, metals) as needed
  • Work with product manager to create standard protocol for materials of construction testing.
  • Tours of compatibility testing and protocol. Qualifications
  • Minimum 0-2 years lab experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, analytical chemistry or other related science
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory tools, techniques, and safety protocols
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment like pipettes, microscopes, buffers and computing tools
